he demolition contractor Shane Excavating began to demolish the establishment once known as Grandma’s Kitchen, which sits near the intersection of State Road 114 and Interstate 65, on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Rensselaer Building Commissioner Kenny Haun informed the City Council on Monday, Feb. 12, that the demolition would begin this week. The total demolition is expected to take around a week. All that will remain are the gas pump islands.
